This is so simple and a good use of apples that are so plentiful right now. My sister gave me this recipe years ago after having it at a party.

1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened to room temperature.
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup salted peanuts, chopped
Granny Smith, or apple of your choice
Orange juice to dip apples in maybe 1/2 cup

Mix all ingredients except apples and orange juice.

Cover and chill until serving time.

Wash, core, and slice the apples.

Dip them in the orange juice so they don't darken.

Serve with the dip!
