This warm beef dip is so safisfying when eaten atop butter crackers. Kids and adults like it.
1 pound very lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 teaspoon minced garlic
8 ounces tomato sauce
1/3 cup catsup
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon crushed oregano
4 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
about 36 buttery crackers
In a skillet cook the ground beef, chopped onion, chopped celery, and minced garlic until the meat is no longer pink.
Stir in the tomato sauce, catsup, sugar, and crushed oregano.
Cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
Add cheeses and stir until they are melted and well combined.
Serve while warm, with crackers.
