Ingredients

TERIYAKI SHRIMP SCAMPI

2 dozen 51-60 count Shrimp, uncooked, shelled, deveined and thawed
1/2 stick Butter, sliced
2 medium florets Broccoli, finely chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1-2 medium Green onion, finely sliced


TERIYAKI GLAZE

1-12 oz bottle Teriyaki glaze
1/4 cup Teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup Chili sauce
1-1/2 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon Ginger, ground

Cooking Instructions

Place the butter, broccoli, garlic and green onions in a baking dish and place under a broiler for 10 minutes. When done, take
out and place the shrimp in the baking dish and place back under the broiler for 5-7 minutes. When done, take out and drizzle teriyaki glaze over the top and place under the broiler for 1 minute.

Take out when done and serve.

For the teriyaki glaze, place all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Place in a squeeze bottle or sealed container and refridgerate what is not used.

How do you serve this as an appetizer? Do people just spoon it onto a plate? When I think of appetizers, I think of "finger foods", or items that can be skewered with a toothpick, not necessarily something you need a fork to eat. Might be good served over rice though. Not sure about the Teriyaki glaze, seems like the flavors would way overpower the shrimp. Left by: Laura (30 Oct 2010)
